KIDS YOGA
Come Play Yoga!
I am excited to join the ShriTeam as their Yoga Kids instructor and to take over this class putting new energy and a class structure in place. Students are welcome to join me on Wednesdays at 4:30pm as we learn about yoga. We will practice in a more structured manner, similar to that of the adult floor, but of course adding a very playful manner to how it is taught. In each class we will learn and practice:
Sun Salutations
Vinyasa Flow Sequences
Balancing Postures
Arm Balances & Inversions
Wall Yoga
while rockin' out to great music... and
Savasana
Meditation
Breath Work
and of course OM'ing!
Our students will develop strength and flexibility and learn to focus their mind on their breath, quieting the busy voice inside so that they may learn concentration. We welcome all of you to enroll you children in our Yoga Kids class on Wednesdays at 4:30pm and look forward to practicing yoga together on the mat! Ages 7-12 years of age.
A little about me... I have been practicing yoga for over 3 years and trained under my mom - the owner of ShriKula Yoga; am a sophomore at Whitney High School and play competitive water polo both at Whitney and at Sierra College. I spend my weekends studying, snowboarding when there is snow and long boarding when I'm not on the slopes or in the water. I have worked with kids for the past 4 years as a tutor for math and also volunteer my time cooking for and feeding the homeless in Sacramento once a month. I also love to draw, backpack in the Sierras and create videos for my broadcasting class at Whitney.
So come find me on my mat at ShriKula on Wednesdays at 4:30pm... bring a mat (or you can rent one at the studio for $2), a small hand towel and a refillable bottle of water (with a lid please) to class. Please arrive 5 minutes before class so that you can get settled, as we will begin promptly at 4:30pm.
Looking forward to seeing all of you on Wednesday. If your passes have run out, purchase some new passes when you arrive. $40 for 4 class pass or $80 for 10 class pass.
